Description:
Cochran Recovery Services (CRS) is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) institution, that serves to deliver cost-effective, comprehensive behavioral health services in a secure, stable and growth-oriented employment environment, dedicated to ensure individuals recognize their assets and responsibilities. Our mission is to treat chemical dependency by operating a detoxification center, Trauma Informed Care, inpatient MI/CD dual diagnosis treatment and Group Residential Housing. In 1974, the CRS was formed by interested people in the community, who were recovering alcoholics, that felt the need for a detoxification center in the Hastings area. Demand for our programs and service gradually grew beyond serving Hastings and the surrounding communities and now referrals come from across the entire state. In 2013 the CRS began to implement a new treatment modality (Trauma Informed Care) to a population that has high rates of relapse, who have failed chemical treatment programs, as well as failed to follow through with mental health intervention. Today, our reputation in the community is good, as we continue our practice of treating hard to serve clients, who are being treated for chemical dependency, who are high utilizers of treatment centers, and struggle with a complexity of co-occurring disorder issues, such as mental health and addiction. Many of our clients are men and women, whom have recently been released from jail or prison; on probation; or individuals who find themselves unable to find employment or have recently lost a job.
