Description:
Y.O.U., Inc.’s Adolescent Substance Abuse Services include a continuum of treatment options including assessment, intensive outpatient groups (IOP/SOAP), outpatient groups, relapse prevention, individual and family therapy, and drug screening. The programs blend techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive and behavioral therapy, and therapeutic recreation activities – all designed to meet the unique needs of adolescents at every stage of their treatment and recovery. The Adolescent Substance Abuse programs recognize that a youth’s substance abuse is often connected to their personal history, environment, and other life stressors. The programs place a strong emphasis on treating those factors, which can include depression, PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety disorders. Clients are also introduced to the philosophy and values of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, which further strengthens the youth’s partnership with community resources which can help them to maintain their sobriety in the long term. The Substance Abuse Services treatment team consists of licensed clinicians (LMFT, LICSW, LMHC) and graduate-level interns, with direct consultation from the agency’s Medical Director, who is a board-certified Child Psychiatrist. The Substance Abuse Services programs serve both male and female clients between the ages of approximately 13 and 18 (if currently enrolled in school or a GED program).
