Description:
The Recovery Center provides a full spectrum of alcohol, drug addiction and mental health prevention, intervention programs to children, adolescents and adults. The Recovery Center works collaboratively with area physicians and hospitals, social and human service providers, law enforcement and criminal justice systems, city and county school districts and other professional organizations and key stakeholders to ensure the availability of a full continuum of services and effective community supports to address the special needs of the populations it serves. The Recovery Center is a client centered, assessing the needs of each person and meeting those needs not available by coordinating services with other agencies. Clinical services are based on a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and appropriate placement for the appropriate levels of care. Staff works with each client to develop an individualized plan which includes goals and objectives specific to the person’s unique challenges. Clinical need is continually assessed, and the client remains involved in the care planning process. The Recovery Center also features an Adult and Child & Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Facility that features a unique programming focused on assisting mentally ill individuals to avoid hospitalization, or can serve as a “step-down†unit from hospitalization. The program’s services are offered in a setting that is more secure than the person’s home, but also less restrictive than a hospital setting. The availability of the crisis unit most often eliminates any need for admission to an inpatient psychiatric unit for mentally ill individuals whose diagnosis has resulted in acute symptoms that require immediate supervised crisis intervention. When necessary, the CSU provides a functioning assessment, medication management, individual, family or group therapy, and arrangements for other rehabilitative or support services (i.e. legal, health, etc.) as necessary. Care is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by professional and licensed staff. Many insurance plans cover Crisis Stabilization Services. The Crisis Stabilization unit currently features a 28 bed adult unit with 2 transitional beds (12 newly awarded beds) and a 16 bed child and youth unit with 2 transitional beds.
