Description:
Our Mission is to improve the mental health of the under-served individuals and families of the Delta area by providing affordable, high-quality mental health services that respond to our communities needs, and help improve the quality of life for these individuals. Rio Vista CARE is a non-profit organization founded in 1985. It was started through the grass roots efforts of community leaders who saw a critical need for mental health services and drug and alcohol programs for children and families. We serve the greater Delta area with a population estimated at over 10,000. While we are located and serve the City of Rio Vista, we also serve families living in the outlying rural areas, on farms in the Montezuma Hills, in the unincorporated communities of Birds Landing, Collinsville, and on several Delta islands. Our highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker and post graduate interns see clients at our CARE center, at one of the local schools, or via home visits. They serve children, adults and families with issues such as: Child Abuse, Addiction, Marital Problems, Domestic Abuse, Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Treatment, Eating Disorders. Our Family Resource Center helps families with personal and practical ways to improve the quality of life through direct services and referrals.
