Details: The P.O.R.C.H., which already houses LAB ONE Drug Testing and Bridges Outpatient Services has also expanded to include a host of community workshops, beginning this July. Such events include: SMART Recovery where participants learn tools for addiction recovery based on the latest scientific research, and participate in a world-wide community which includes free, self-empowering, science-based mutual help groups, Narcotics Anonymous where group atmosphere provides help from peers and offers an ongoing support network for addicts who wish to pursue and maintain a drug-free lifestyle, a presentation on the Goodwill Career Training program and what it offers those looking for food service training, and Financial Budgeting and Management for those looking for straight-forward direction and tools when it comes to making sense of their personal finances. And this just names a few of the great classes that are free to all. The PORCH will also host a monthly movie night. The events at The PORCH are ever changing and expanding as instructors, presenters and new community needs are discovered. The P.O.R.C.H. is quickly becoming the place to hang out, relax or take in a class or two.
