Details: The Comprehensive Addiction Program at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley (ValleyCAP) in Haverhill, Massachusetts, provides inpatients the medical assistance they need while going through detoxification from drugs and alcohol, and following discharge, provides outpatients the support services they need to stay on their path to recovery. From admission to discharge our team of dedicated professionals delivers exceptional care with the kindness, compassion and privacy that each and every patient deserves. We offer single bed rooms for comfort and privacy. The inpatient detoxification program, which includes Level IV medical treatment, provides 24-hour care for those who have medical conditions that could put them at risk during detoxification from drugs and alcohol. Our medical specialists monitor patient care because withdrawal from addictive substances can be physically and emotionally taxing. Our team will create a medical plan of care tailored for each patient, to ease withdrawal symptoms in a medically safe environment. Admission experts are available 24 hours a day to talk with potential patients and assess their immediate needs. From initial admission to discharge, our staff monitors patient progress. Our medical staff includes psychiatrists, internal medicine physicians and a full panel of physician specialists, nurses, social workers, and addiction counselors to assist with all of our patients’ needs. Our goal is to keep patients on their path to recovery, so the team coordinates access to our many outpatient services to ensure that patients have the medical care and support services they need following discharge. We believe in treating the whole person so we use a holistic approach that includes medical, emotional and spiritual components, as well as respect, dignity, and encouragement. Individual team members will encourage and support patients while they are achieving independence.
