Details: The Addictions Treatment Program (ATP) is a 24-hour chemical dependency program providing inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation services, as well as continuing care. The purpose of the program is to instill hope for positive change and empower clients to develop a meaningful and productive lifestyle free of drugs and/or alcohol. Services include medically monitored detoxification; psycho-educational groups; individual, group and family counseling; and introductions to peer self-help groups, case management, psychiatric consultation and continuing care. Services are offered in the least restrictive environment. Length of stay in treatment averages around 19 days, but is based on client needs, progress and housing situation. The Addictions Treatment Program is available to chemically dependent adults, age 18 and over, who live in the State of Illinois and require inpatient treatment to interrupt the use of alcohol and other drugs. ATP gives priority to pregnant addicts and intravenous drug users. Clients will receive referrals to other needed services that may not be available at ATP. The ATP curriculum also includes a 6-month outpatient Continuing Care Group which is available to any recovering addict in the community.
