Details: The Compass Center is a residential treatment program for adolescents, ages 13 to 17 who have a drug or alcohol addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. Staff embrace the belief that all residents have the potential, natural zest and ability to recover and succeed. This program, located on a beautiful 4-acre campus in Punta Gorda, serves all residents of Southwest Florida. The Compass Center’s treatment approach is based on the evidence-based residential therapeutic community model which emphasizes personal responsibility, truth and honesty, work ethic, learning, personal accountability, self-reliance, responsible concern for peers, family responsibility, community involvement, and good citizenry. Mental health and substance abuse needs are addressed through behavioral health services consisting of individual, group, and family therapy. Educational and vocational services are also provided to help teens earn middle and high school credit and prepare for employment. Insurance is accepted. Sliding scale payment options are also available.
