Details: The CSU and Detox services are licensed for 30 CSU beds and 19 Detox beds and serves the needs of Flagler and Volusia residents. The average length of stay in the CSU is 3 days and 5 days for Detox. Individuals receive medication appropriate for their presenting problem(s), individual and group therapy, and discharge planning toward the next appropriate level of care. SMA is the only public Marchman Act and Baker Act Receiving Facility in Volusia County. The Detox facility is also licensed as a Addiction Receiving Facility. We employ both a Marchman Act Court Liaison and Baker Act Court Liaison, both of whom are available to assist families or friends who are seeking court mandated assessment or treatment for a loved one. On site there is also the Emergency Services Triage Unit (Emergency Screening), which serves as a gateway to both the Crisis Stabilization and the Detox Units.
