Details: Since 1948, Family & Children Services of Silicon Valley has been improving the lives of children, teens, and adults in our community through emotional and mental health services. We counsel teens at risk of suicide, prepare foster youth for success, assist veterans and their families, and help families heal from violence, abuse, and addiction. Addiction to drugs or alcohol affect one’s daily life and the lives of loved ones. For more than 20 years, we have provided outpatient treatment for adults, as well as prevention programs for elementary and middle-school children and their families. We are part of the system of care administered by the County of Santa Clara Department of Alcohol & Drug Services (DADS). Our clients come to us through the County’s Gateway referral system, which coordinates clients’ treatment along the continuum of detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient treatment combined with transitional housing, and outpatient treatment.
