Details: Prototypes is a lifeline to women who are struggling with addiction and other serious issues such as domestic violence and mental illness. Many of these women are mothers who face an impossible choice: give up their children to foster care or a guardian, or continue to suffer. Prototypes is a game changer by allowing women to keep their children with them during treatment so they both get the help they need. And, by combining comprehensive treatment series with practical life-skills training, we prepare women for long-term success. Prototypes sets the standard for comprehensive, integrated, evidence-based services. Our team of top professionals and dedicated staff provide residential and outpatient addiction treatment, detoxification, mental health services, prevention and education, vocational training, and parenting support. Prototypes is proud to be a reason that thousands of women in our communities are now leading healthy, productive lives. Not all clients who are dealing with substance abuse, mental health disorders and domestic violence issues need residential treatment services. That’s why we’ve developed Prototypes’ comprehensive Outpatient Behavioral Health Centers across Southern California. Because treatment can range from just a few sessions to more than a year, our programs have been developed to meet the unique needs of each individual or family situation. Our services include individual, group, couples and family treatment. Medication services and referrals to other resources are also available, when appropriate. Prototypes staff are highly trained and dedicated psychiatrists, nurses, licensed or Board-registered mental health clinicians, certified substance abuse counselors, case managers, and employment, housing and benefits specialists. Many are bilingual and bicultural. All are trained to provide culturally competent services. All of our outpatient services are available in Spanish.
