Details: Located in a historic, Mission-style building on park-like grounds, Phoenix House Orange County offers a broad spectrum of services to help clients break the cycle of substance abuse. Our residential and outpatient programs include an intensive regimen of therapy groups and individual counseling sessions. We help clients achieve and sustain recovery through assessments and treatment planning; case management and referrals to a network of social services; life skills development and preparation for independent living; vocational and job readiness services; housing assistance and sober living programs; evidence-based and trauma-informed practices; mental health support; parenting classes; literacy improvement; anger management; physical fitness activities; and health education. We serve homeless veterans and also operate the Orange County Recovery Center for long-term support (recovery services are free of charge). We recently opened a Gender-Responsive, Trauma-Informed Program for Women, ages 18 and over. This residential program, located in a separate facility on our large campus, offers specialized services that respond to the unique needs of women struggling with drug and alcohol abuse and mental health issues. Our Women’s Program uses evidence-based curricula: Understanding Addiction by Stephanie Covington; Relapse Prevention by Claudia Black; Seeking Safety by Lisa Najavits; Time Out for Me by Texas Christian University and Dialectical Behavior Therapy by Marsha Linahan. The length of stay is based on each client’s strengths and needs. At our residential and outpatient treatment programs all major credit cards are accepted. Payment options include the following health insurance plans: Anthem Blue Cross, APS Healthcare, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Managed Health Network (MHN), and Health Net.
