Details: The First Step House of Orange Co., Inc. is a non-profit organization that oversees the operation of Charle Street and the McMillen Houses. They all are recovery and transitional social model facilities in Costa Mesa, CA. The three residences serve the local communities by assisting indigent men suffering from severe drinking problems. McMillen House provides affordable, medium-term (up to 1 year) housing for up to twelve newly recovering alcoholics. It provides a safe, sober, structured environment that assists the men in building a firm foundation for their continued long-term sobriety and personal growth. This is a critical step in the process of integrating back into society.
