As an innovative recovery program of Bradford Health Services, The Reprieve helps individuals with chemical dependencies discover healthy and fulfilling lives free of alcohol and other drugs. By providing intense, yet surprisingly affordable, treatment in a homelike atmosphere, The Reprieve is making successful recovery a reality for more and more people. The focus of the eight to 12-week program is on recovery through a highly effective combination of: the 12 Steps of Recovery; professional counseling to address individual roadblocks to recovery; lifestyle modification through structure; acceptance of personal responsibilityL performance of specific living skills and group account ability. The program is designed for motivated individuals who have completed detoxification and do not require medical supervision. Patients in need of lodging during treatment may stay in an 8,000-square-foot residence. A culinary staff prepares family-style meals. Recovery for the family is an essential aspect of treatment – just as important as recovery for the addicted person. The family recovery experience at The Reprieve consists of two weekends focused on education and identification of family healing processes, and putting those processes into practice. The Reprieve recovery program is based in a fully restored historic home in Opelika, Alabama, where small-town charm is pleasantly contrasted with modern conveniences. A restored covered bridge, wildlife trail, and nature sanctuary provide patients the perfect atmosphere for meditation and introspection, while the town’s extensive aquatic and exercise facility offers diverse recreational opportunities
