Details: Healthcare Alternative Systems, Inc. (HAS) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization providing behavioral health services to Chicago and the surrounding communities. The premier behavioral health resource for Chicago’s Latino community, HAS provides culturally competent, bilingual (English and Spanish) services to a diverse population of men, women, and youth from all backgrounds. HAS understands that in order to be effective, behavioral health services need to be holistic, personalized and participant-centered. We offer a continuum of gender-specific programs addressing substance abuse, mental and physical health, family relationships, and more. Every year, HAS serves over six thousand individuals. Our Men’s Residential treatment program provides a supportive, highly structured, and culturally sensitive recovery environment. Upon admission, each adult participant completes a medical and bio-psychosocial assessment. Treatment focuses not just on the symptoms of addiction, but on each participant’s overall health and well-being. Residents participate in group, individual, and family therapy as well as life skills education.
