Addiction is a complex disease that negatively affects every aspect of a person's life. The nature of the addiction process can be stopped and relapses prevented through commitment to proper treatment, sobriety or abstinence, and recovery, which is a lifelong endeavor. Oakland Family Services offers counseling services for people who are dealing with these issues.
