Details: Mid-Michigan Recovery Services, Inc. is an affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Our organization has been serving the tri-county area since the late 1950’s with our origination as the Tri-County Council on Alcoholism. In 1967 a Halfway House Council was formed to address issues regarding community members who were chronically addicted and homeless. The Holden House was secured to serve men and soon after the Glass House was secured to serve women with residential programs to address provision of safe shelter, life skills training and treatment for substance use disorders. At that time Halfway House Council and Tri-County Council on Alcoholism combined and sought affiliation to become the National Council on Alcoholism’s affiliate in the Lansing Regional Area. Our organization served under the name of National Council on Alcoholism - Lansing Regional Area Inc. from 1967 to 2016 when the organization re-branded to become Mid-Michigan Recovery Services Inc., the regional affiliate of National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence to ensure that the community and regional area recognized our longstanding and dedicated service to all who struggle with substance use disorders whether it is primarily alcohol or other drugs.
