Details: Food Addiction - Chemical Dependency Consultants, LLC is a State of Maine Certified Addiction Treatment Facility, as well as a State of Maine Licensed Mental Health Facility. Here at FACDC, we strive to give the the client the best possible counseling experience. Our staff is compassionate and professional. We follow all guidelines to insure client anonymity. We specialize in all addictions - whether they are food related problems, such as chronic overeating, anorexia and bulimia - to drugs and alcohol, gambling or sex addictions. We pair the client with the counselor who can best help each individual. Our mental health staff is multi-skilled in depression and anxiety treatment, bi-polar disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related mental health problems. FACDC was started by Drusilla Myers, LADC, CCS, in 1991 – in a live-in apartment in Portland, Me. She has worked tirelessly to build the agency into one that has the capacity to help thousands of people a year to reach their treatment goals, whatever they may have been. From humble beginnings, FACDC has grown into one of the largest privately-owned treatment agencies in the state, with five offices throughout the Southern Maine area.
