Details: MaineGeneral provides intensive outpatient care for adults with substance abuse and mental health issues. IOP substance abuse programs are offered for adults at 24 Chase Avenue, Waterville. Services are offered Monday through Friday. Clients attend primary group treatment and education sessions. Individual and family counseling sessions are provided as needed. Family members and/or concerned others are encouraged to participate in Concerned Persons Day each week. Programs run four hours per day, five days per week. Clients are usually in the program for four to six weeks. These programs are ideal for patients being discharged from the inpatient detoxification unit as an alternative to hospitalization.
