Details: Allen Parish Hospital’s Psychiatric Recovery Unit is dedicated to providing proper treatment to patients experiencing mental illness and addiction. Treatments include group and individual therapy, and professional counseling with a board certified psychiatrist and social worker. A professional team, led by a psychiatrist and comprised of nursing staff, social services, psychology, activity therapists, and adjunctive services, provides care according to each individuals needs. Individuals can be admitted into the Psychiatric Recovery Unit 24 hours a day and transportation is provided if necessary. Inpatient services are covered by Medicaid and Medicare as well as some self-pay and private insurance plans.
