Details: Pathways Behavioral Services is a nonprofit corporation licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Health and accredited by the Department of Human Services. Founded in 1967 to serve clients solely in Black Hawk County, Pathways today offers substance abuse and mental health prevention and treatment services to people in six northeast Iowa counties. With 128,012 residents, urban Black Hawk County is home to 50 percent more people than the combined populations of the five outlying, rural counties Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw and Grundy. Outpatient Treatment: The least intensive level of care is outpatient counseling. It is recommended for the majority of our clients allowing the client to stay in their home and attend work or school.
