Details: University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is dedicated to offering care and hope to all substance abusing patients; meeting the special needs of dual diagnosis patients; and providing resources to other clinical departments, the general university community, and the state of Iowa. Our integrated, multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurses, substance abuse counselors, substance abuse social workers, occupational therapists, and recreational therapists work together to provide the most flexible and complete care for patients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues. Our programs combine professional care and self-help approaches with an emphasis on abstinence, family participation, relapse prevention, and health promotion.
