Details: Pathway to Sobriety is an AA-based long-term recovery program that guides addicts to reclaim positive attributes of body, mind, and spirit. These positive things are mislaid during active addiction but are inherent in humans. We regain them through hard work, counseling, fellowship, and spirituality. The Pathway program is a six- to nine-month residental recovery program open to men twenty-three years and above. The Center does not accept monetary payment or insurance for participation in Pathway; residents earn their keep and treatment by working on the farm, in the kitchen, or in housekeeping or maintenance. Successful applicants are required to deposit $800.00 with the program director upon acceptance into the program. This money is not refundable, but will be redistributed to the participant at the rate of $45 per week during his stay at The Center to defray personal expenses. Scholarships may be available. The program director will address any questions about this matter. Pathway to Sobriety takes a truly holistic approach: Work starts to heal the body and earns a place for Pathway men to start healing the mind and spirit. All participants receive individual and group counseling from certified professionals as well as room and board as part of the program. Detoxification in a medical facility is a pre-requisite to acceptance to Pathway. In addition, all applicants are screened and interviewed before admittance.
