Details: Specialized Assistance Services, NFP (formerly Substance Abuse Services, Inc.), is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1976 to provide comprehensive treatment services to individuals and families who experience problems associated with the use of psychoactive substances. Our goal is to provide health care services to clients that enable them to become productive citizens. We believe that Specialized Assistance Services offers an alternative way of living through treatment, which leads to the development of self-worth, which is an important step on the road to recovery. Specialized Assistance Services, residential treatment program “Branden Houseâ€, is a modified therapeutic community located approximately 40 miles from Chicago. Branden House (located in Manteno, Illinois), is a state of the art Level III.5 treatment facility with a service capacity of eighty beds. It provides treatment for male and female substance abusers, and services Cook, Will, Kankakee, Kane and Kendall counties. Residents remain in treatment as long as clinically indicated. Branden House is the only long-term residential treatment facility in the state of Illinois that provides methadone as an adjunct to the standard substance abuse treatment services.
