Details: The Central East Alcoholism and Drug (CEAD) Council is a community based, not-for-profit corporation offering services to address chemical abuse, dependency and other therapeutic needs. CEAD Council was originally incorporated in 1972 and opened its first facility early in 1973. Women’s Outpatient Services provides a gender specific program designed to maximize therapeutic benefits for a healthy lifestyle while allowing women to continue normal employment, family and social interactions. Women’s Outpatient Services strive to assist the woman in attaining “balance and moderation†in her life through individual, group, and family counseling sessions. The Recovery Home for Women with Children is designed to provide a supportive, therapeutic environment for families who need the opporÂtunity to practice skills of daily living, including parenting and employment while receiving needed counseling services. This unique service integrates the children in the daily process of healthy living. The family lives on site while receiving individual, group and family counselÂing. The focus is to assist the adult to function as a healthy parent, increase their feelings of self worth and improve their ability to live independently through employment or furthering their education. The children are able to experience consistency, healthy boundaries and role modeling from their parent while particiÂpating in a normal daily routine of school, daycare and family time.
