Details: Stepping Stones, Inc. is a private not-for-profit corporation [501(c) (3)] served and governed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of dedicated professionals and concerned citizens. We are staffed by professional addictions counselors, together with medical, psychiatric, psychological, and dietary consultants. Stepping Stones is organized to provide professional alcoholism and substance use disorder treatment to persons suffering from the disease of addiction, even if persons served are unable to pay for the cost of such services.Treatment is based on the belief that chemical dependency is a treatable illness, requiring abstinence from mood altering drugs. The treatment techniques shall be in accordance with those generally accepted within the health care field. Stepping Stones will provide individualized services that result in long-term elimination of substance use disorder and improved functioning in all areas of the lives of the persons we serve. Secondarily, Stepping Stones services will benefit the families and communities of the persons we serve.
