Details: The Grove Academy provides residential treatment for adolescents struggling with alcohol abuse and drug abuse. A normal day at The Grove Academy includes individual counseling, small group counseling, school, physical and health education, life skills courses, Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, and personal time for relaxation and reflection. Patients usually reside at The Academy between four and six months. The Academy offers a Partial Hospitalization Program, in which clients are dropped off each morning and participate in all the activities of the standard residential program, before being picked up each evening. Our Family Program educates those closest to the patient about chemical dependency. Through small-group discussion with other families and counseling sessions between the patient, their family, and their therapist, families gain knowledge and practical skills to support their loved one through the recovery process.
