Details: The Recovery Team began in the early 1980s with both a friendship and a vision. A friendship between two men who had begun their own recovery. And a vision of giving back to others by creating a treatment facility that goes to the heart of what addicts need most: A disciplined but loving environment in which they and their families can recover. A center that offers the kind of nurturing care that is essential to recovery. Where clients are treated as family. Where individual needs are heard and met. Where no one is hopeless. In 1995, Bill Schrader and Fred Pettersen opened Recovery Resources - a small outpatient clinic using state-of-the-art treatment strategies and old fashioned 12-step tools. Their success was immediate, prompting numerous expansions over the years while remaining true to their commitment and core beliefs. Since then, they have helped thousands of men and women become free from addiction and go on to build productive lives. Lives that matter. In 2012 the company was restructured with the addition of two key partnerships - Operations Manager Michelle Schrader and Program Director Terry Marvin - and renamed it The Recovery Team. Together with their family of dedicated therapists they have refined and honed the quality of care that is offered. The rewards for everyone at The Recovery Team continue to be too many to count. Though, none are greater than seeing the faces of former clients who return for monthly alumni meetings; hearing their laughter and the stories of how their lives and families are flourishing is indeed a vision fulfilled.
