Details: In 1968 a physician, a pharmacist and a police officer came together to respond to a growing substance abuse problem in their community. They gave their time, effort and money and founded an organization that has changed lives for some 4 decades now. As a result of their commitment and desire to make a difference in the lives of people seeking help, Drug Abuse Foundation was born. Outpatient services provide a therapeutic environment, which is designed to improve the functioning or prevent further deterioration of persons with mental health and/or substance abuse problems. Outpatient services are available for both adults and adolescents. Adult Outpatient Services > provide therapeutic regimen in an outpatient setting with a length of stay of 90 days per tier. The Outpatient program is organized in 3 tiers: Stabilization Tier, Relapse Treatment Tier, and Aftercare Tier. Children Outpatient Services > provide substance abuse and developmental counseling in an outpatient setting to adolescents and their families. The program’s average length of stay is 90 days
