Details: A Step Up - An 8 bed program in Cotati, CA, A Step Up offers dual diagnosed adults (mental illness with alcohol and/or other drug issues) the opportunity to gain the information, develop the habits and attitudes, and learn and practice the skills necessary to remain stable, clean and sober, and able to sustain self-reliant, interdependent community living. Participants benefit from a highly structured approach that integrates the principles of social rehabilitation, the 12-Step model of recovery, and drug and alcohol counseling. Staff support is available 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. Residents remain in the program 6-9 months.
