Details: Rarely can that freedom be achieved alone. When professional help is needed Progress House, Inc. is here. We offer help that is caring and firm, that is directed to all the important facets of a person’s life: mental, physical, and spiritual. At Progress House, Inc. it is our intent to look at the entire individual and give that person the most appropriate level of treatment based upon their assessment. Progress House is a Recovery Model Program, it is client driven and based on the disease concept and we believe the disease is treatable. It is because of this philosophy and the twelve-step program of recovery based upon it, that Progress House, Inc. has become known as one of the leading treatment facilities in the State of California. Responding to the needs of the alcohol and other drug treatment community since the origin of Progress House in 1973, Progress House has expanded and diversified to meet the needs of the communities. There are now gender specific and coeducational residential programs, outpatient counseling at various levels of intensity, transitional living for men and women, and the ability of children to accompany there mother throughout the entire treatment episode. Women's and Children's Residential Facility: This facility is 30 miles east of Auburn in Placer County at 3700' elevation. It is a beautiful mountain setting. The facility is a licensed ten bed residential facility for chemically dependant women 18 years and older. We allow children to accompany their mothers during the treatment stay. It offers a 30, 60, 90-day program up to 6 months. This is a small-scale program offering personalized treatment plans. The 12-step based program consists of eleven two-hour groups per week along with individual counseling sessions. This program is structured with room and board, 24 hour supervision, and over 30 hours per week of mandatory participation in scheduled recovery activities.
