Details: Pregnant and Parenting Women - AODS women services provide drug and alcohol abuse prevention, education, and intervention integrated with prenatal health care. In addition to alcohol and other drug information, education about pregnancy, parenting, health in general, self esteem and life skills are provided. AOD Prevention services collaborates with Family, Maternal and Child Services (FMCH) First Five and WIC to help reduce and reverse the negative consequences of substance use and abuse during pregnancy improving health outcomes and wellness through service coordination and professional training. Also known as SBIR or Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Resources, our services are provided at the three Healthy Start Clinics, WIC centers, Labor and Delivery and Post Partum at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.
