Details: The Ark program provides comprehensive drug treatment and rehabilitation services to drug affected individuals while supporting family stability and promoting social and economic self-sufficiency. The Ark is an outpatient program that services clients through a non-traditional intensive treatment model in both English and Spanish which includes counseling, life skills, educational/vocational services, health education, parenting, mental health and relapse prevention for both men and women. The goals of the Ark program are to support the successful, long-term recovery of our clients and allow them the ability to live full and productive lives. We provide a new beginning for individuals and families affected by drugs in South Central Los Angeles. We strengthen the family and community by building skills through education, counseling and support and assist individuals and families in developing positive ways to deal with life. Our services strengthen families through comprehensive and collaborative services such as Mental Health, Individual and Group Counseling, Education and Vocational Services, Life Skills, Drug and Alcohol Education, Health Education, Parenting, Relapse Prevention, Crisis Intervention, Case Management, Court Advocacy and Anger Management while supporting family stability and promoting social and economic self-sufficiency. Primary treatment services are based upon assessment of the individual and the development of a service plan to address those identified needs. Duration and intensity of services are determined based on the service plan, however average length of stay is between 6-12 months. In addition, specific treatment services are available for General Relief Recipients refereed by the Department of Public Social Services. Lifetime aftercare is available to all program graduates.
