Details: REACH Project serves more than 2,000 eastern Contra Costa County youth and their families each year. Services are provided at the Antioch, Brentwood and Oakley facilities and are geared toward early and secondary prevention, drug and alcohol treatment and juvenile diversion programs for the Antioch, Brentwood and Oakley police departments. REACH is recognized as a state and national leader for providing more than 41 years of successful services. REACH Project was created in 1970 by Antioch community activists to respond to concerns about the influence of alcohol and drug abuse on local youth and their families. REACH's innovative and aggressive approach, known for its community-based "linking model, combines the services and funding of police departments, school districts, juvenile courts and health services.
