Details: The First Step House is licensed and certified by the State of California, Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Programs to provide detoxification and residential recovery services. The non-medical detoxification services are, 3 – 7 days, and primary residential program is from 60 to 90 days. The Program is twelve-step based, and provides a positive sober environment with emphasis on experiential learning along with the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, and interaction with other recovering alcoholics and addicts.Residents receive group and individual counseling, relapse prevention education, drug and alcohol education and parenting classes. Family education is available for clients and encouraged for all family members.
