Details: Family Service Agency of Marin, through counseling, education and advocacy, strengthens the many forms of family life, promotes the health and self sufficiency of family members of all ages and cultures, and champions freedom from abuse, violence and poverty. Addiction recovery is a complicated journey that requires support to be successful, whether it’s addiction to drugs or alcohol, gambling, shopping, food or cutting – any addiction or disorder that makes living a productive life impossible. FSA therapists identify individual challenges and develop a therapeutic plan to support the greatest chance of living free of addiction. The agency follows a harm reduction model, which recognizes that relapse may occur during the treatment and recovery process. The vine Detox Center, through Buckelew Programs, provides a non-medical detox program where adults under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol can safely withdraw in a supportive environment.
