Details: Established in October 1998, Change For Recovery (CFR) is an innovative, comprehensive, highly structured, outpatient treatment program designed to promote total abstinence within the framework of highly structured treatment modalities and participant monitoring. The program is an intensive outpatient model stressing education, counseling, participant monitoring, and 12-Step Recovery/Self Help community involvement, and relapse prevention. This combination of services encourages positive patterns of social relationships, which promote the recovery process in the participant’s alcohol and drug free environment. A high level of interpersonal relating among participants and staff will focus on the development of honesty, feedback, and the cognitive restructuring of self defeating beliefs and behaviors. The expected outcome is to produce enhanced self-esteem and a stronger sense of personal responsibility with Relapse Prevention strategies being a central component of the program. Changes For Recovery is responding to the increasing rate of addiction, alcohol/drug related crimes, repeat offenders, parole and probation revocation, overcrowded detention facilities, and the increasing cost of incarceration and substance abuse treatment. We are providing effective, affordable, and professional treatment and counseling services; while offering individuals faced with the life-threatening and destructive nature of addiction, the opportunity for changing negative lifestyles, establishing positive personal priorities and goals, maintaining or rebuilding essential family ties, avoiding criminal activities and relapse, resolving legal issues, and to once again become a productive member of their families, communities, and our society. Our treatment team has diverse experience in the field of addiction and our talented team of professionals can relate to our clients with care and understanding, because we have years of recovery ourselves.
