Details: WellSpace Health, formerly known as The Effort, a Federally Qualified Health Center, was established in 1953. Our doctors currently provide health care in our various community health centers. WellSpace Health has operated a safety net clinic in midtown Sacramento since 1969, and is designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). As WellSpace Health’s flagship, The J Street Community Health Center offers primary care, addiction and mental health treatment, and is the agency’s administrative headquarters. WellSpace Health offers a full continuum of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders treatment. Integration of addiction services with primary care and mental health opens up a new door in treating the whole person and addresses secondary issues complicating or preventing a full recovery. Our counselors have the specialized training required to teach you about addiction and help you make lasting changes in the way you live your life so that you can successfully maintain a substance-free lifestyle.
