Details: MELA Counseling Services Center is a 501©(3) non-profit organization providing services since 1993. MELA was founded by Kathy Salazar, R.N., a former Mayor of the City of Montebello, CA. Kathy saw a need in the community for a substance abuse counseling service and took up the challenge to work with those who needed help. Through The Business Connection, random drug testing is provided for employers which helps keep the cost of absenteeism down.
