Details: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAMS - provide comprehensive substance abuse/mental health outpatient treatment, aftercare, outreach and prevention services, as well as, Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES). Psychiatric Emergency Services include crisis stabilization, crisis intervention, and assisting law enforcement and licensed medical providers with emergency detention orders to hold individuals needing further evaluation. Our BH program takes an integrated approach to meeting the needs of the clients and communities including suicide and domestic violence prevention efforts. The BH Program also oversees the State BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AIDE (BHA) PROGRAM. BHAs provide limited behavioral health services including, counseling for substance use disorders, mental health rehabilitation, and case management for the residents of Atka, Nikolski, Unalaska, St. Paul and St. George. This program is also responsible for the local Youth Coalition groups in Unalaska and St. Paul.
