Heartland Center For Behavioral Change - Bolivar Outpatient Clinic Location: Bolivar, MO - 65613 Contact Phone: (417) 866-3293 Website: http://heartlandcbc.org/ Description: Heartland Center is here to help individuals achieve and maintain recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. Our “person centered†approach includes a wide array of clinical treatment recovery programs and services to meet each person’s unique needs. Individuals progress through drug addiction treatment at various rates, so there is no pre-determined length of treatment or predetermined plan of treatment. Research shows that the best treatment outcomes result when the length of treatment corresponds to the needs of each client. Our diagnostic assessment is the first step in identifying the course of treatment. A licensed mental health professional and qualified substance abuse professional first meet with each new client to complete a comprehensive assessment. The results are then used to identify the needs of the person and the individual plan of treatment. We offer three levels of care in our Comprehensive Substance Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation (CSTAR) Programs. Each level varies in intensity that ranges from 25 hours weekly to monthly support. Clients are placed in the treatment level that is best matched to their treatment needs. Services include: Comprehensive diagnostic assessment; Individual and group counseling; Dialectic education groups; Community support assistance; Self-help groups; Medication assistance. In addition, family members are encouraged to participate in the treatment program. All services are delivered by professional staff who are certified or licensed to provide services by the Missouri Substance Abuse Professional Credentialing Board. Burrell Behavioral Health - Adult Substance Abuse Services Location: Springfield, MO - 65807 Contact Phone: (417) 761-5600 Website: http://www.burrellcenter.com/ Description: The complexities of mental illness are often compounded by drug and alcohol use, making it a challenge to get the right diagnosis and treatment for both. Mental illness can increase the risk for alcoholism or drug abuse at times due to self-medicating. On the other hand, alcoholism can lead to significant anxiety and depression that may appear indistinguishable from a mental illness. With dual diagnosis, both the mental health issue and the drug or alcohol addiction have their own unique symptoms that may get in the way of your ability to function, handle life’s difficulties, and relate to others. To make the situation more complicated, the co-occurring disorders also affect each other and interact. When a mental health problem goes untreated, the substance abuse problem usually gets worse as well. And when alcohol or drug abuse increases, mental health problems usually increase too. |

Burrell Behavioral Health - Burrell Park Facility Location: Springfield, MO - 65802 Contact Phone: (417) 862-3339 Website: http://www.burrellcenter.com/ Description: The complexities of mental illness are often compounded by drug and alcohol use, making it a challenge to get the right diagnosis and treatment for both. |

Simmering Center, Inc. Location: Branson, MO - 65616 Contact Phone: (417) 320-6380 Website: http://www.simmeringcenter.org/ Description: Simmering Center, Inc. is the corporate name of our new agency. The Campus, NOW known as the Simmering Center was started in 1991 and built by Council of Churches of the Ozarks and was first named Tri-Lakes Sigma House. One individual from the community, Larry Simmering was extremely instrumental in the evolution of recovery services in the community and making this center a viable organization. Eventually the facility name was changed to Larry Simmering Recovery Center in recognition of his contributions to recovery. Now, proudly, the facility is named SIMMERING CENTER, INC. This campus is located at 360 Rinehart Road, Branson, and was built by a group of local benefactors that supported this Council of Churches building project. This new Simmering Center, Inc. was formed in October, 2015. Much time and effort has been donated now for over a year in order to reopen the facility and establish an alternative life style for all who wish to live and grow in a clean and sober environment. Simmering Center, Inc. is governed by a diverse Board of Directors which sets the direction for all staff and programming. Services are available for all residents of Taney and Stone Counties, but are not limited to these counties. “Symptom Stabilizationâ€, formerly known as social setting detox, is available as a Private Pay Service. Simmering Center is staffed "round the clock", seven days a week by oversight staff. “Symptom stabilization†DETOX is customized for the need of each client. Before completing the 3 to 5 day stabilization a needs assessment will be offered. Recommendations from the needs assessment will be used to make referrals including admission to the housing unit. In the event a client is in need of medical care they are transferred to Cox Health Branson. Because some clients are admitted for “symptoms stabilization†only and depart once the effects of alcohol and/or drugs have dissipated, stabilization beds at the Simmering Center are paid for separately from the structured housing unit fees. In addition Simmering Center offers private pay "Structured Sober Housing" This revolutionary housing will be available for just less than three dozen men and women at any one time. Our more exclusive alternative structured housing differs from previous offerings because there is no limit as to length of stay subject to a weekly or monthly fees and continuous effort in recovery. Simmering Center will offer basic life skills training including computer skills, tips on job interviews, hygiene , financial, and budget basics. The goal will be to help residents with preparation for jobs within the greater Taney and Stone County areas. Black Alcohol/drug Service Information Center (basic) Location: Saint Louis, MO - 63103 Contact Phone: (314) 621-9009 Website: http://www.basicinc.org/ Description: The Black Alcohol/Drug Service Information Center (BASIC) is a community-based agency that provides comprehensive culturally sensitive alcohol and drug abuse services in the city of St. Louis, Missouri and New Orleans, Louisiana. BASIC was established in 1983, as a pilot project of the St. Louis Foundation for Alcoholism and Related Dependencies. In 1994, BASIC INC became a Louisiana Corporation and replicated the services in Orleans Parish, with initial funding from the Lupen Foundation. This non-traditional modality included along with Alcoholic’s Anonymous/Narcotic’s Anonymous, the incorporation of the clients culture and areas of emotional pain associated with “cultural survival fatigue†in America. The programs goal is not one of merely cessation of addictive behaviors, but one of positively impacting the lifestyle of people of color, utilizing new and innovative strategies, that increase self esteem, self worth and cultural pride. The intentional positioning of crack cocaine and heroin in urban communities across the country has caused a loveless, hopeless and purposeless reaction within urban and rural families. In an effort to make a difference, BASIC has become a pioneer in substance abuse treatment, across the country. We have set the standards for other agencies that service non-white substance abusers, if they are to be successful. Our fingers are forever on the pulse of the community, not responding to crisis but setting the trends and developing prevention strategies to deal with the needs, demands, and problems of substance abuse within the urban community. BASIC has been recognized by local and national organizations as an exemplary model of a proactive and successful community-based substance abuse treatment program. |

Midtown Service & Treatment Center Location: Saint Louis, MO - 63103 Contact Phone: (314) 652-3310 Website: https://midtowntreatment.wordpress.com/ Description: The Salvation Army is the nation’s largest provider of residential drug and alcohol abuse treatment. Using a holistic approach to treating addiction, the new, state-of-the-art, 22,500-square-foot facility in Midtown St. Louis supports The Salvation Army’s mission of creating sustainable positive change in the lives of individuals and communities. The Salvation Army’s approach to addiction recovery couples traditional treatment, which focuses on modifying lifestyle behaviors with psychological, biological and social assessment that helps in determining individualized care plans. The Salvation Army believes in treating the entire person – emotionally, physically and spiritually. Creating a personalized and comprehensive treatment program provides individuals with the best chance for long-term success, stability and sobriety. The $6 million Midtown Service and Treatment Center is certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. The facility treats all aspects of an individual through a full range of services. The Midtown Service and Treatment Center replaces the former Harbor Light Center, which offered several residential programs with supportive services, including a 189-bed shelter for homeless adult men. The old facility also provided seven beds for detoxification services and 30 beds for residential treatment services. Men came to the Harbor Light Center, which was established in 1943, with a multitude of life circumstances: substance abuse, mental health conditions that were impairing their day-to-day functioning, physical health conditions, and lack of life skills along with financial and legal issues. Remaining true to its mission of meeting human needs in His name without discrimination, and working with St. Louis City and County, The Salvation Army evolved its substance abuse service and treatment model to accommodate not only best practice guidelines, but also a more inclusive consumer base including those who receive both public and private health care coverage. The Salvation Army continues to value its community partnerships in providing substance abuse and mental health services such as The Department of Mental Health, Assisted Recoveries Center of America, St. Louis Drug Court, Department of Veterans Affairs, Grace Hill and other community agencies. The Midtown Service and Treatment Center is the third phase of the organization’s $60 million Midtown Redevelopment Plan, after the construction of the Veterans Residence and 3010 Apartments, which opened in winter 2012 and spring 2014, respectively. The ground floor serves as a neighborhood clinic along with office space and a community room. The upper two floors will offer advanced substance abuse treatment. This project is made possible by The Salvation Army and generous donors throughout the bi-state region. |
