Young. In 1996 we became a non-profit organization. Hannah's started with women staying in my home until I could secure them a suitable bed at hospitals for their addiction to drugs and alcohol. Hannah's mission is to help women - primarily who are homeless - and their children to overcome substance abuse and its by - products of personal neglect, child abuse, unstable employment, health problems, and homelessness. Services are provided for women and (2) of their children without regard to the client's race, color or creed. Fees are based on each client's ability to pay. Kolmac Clinic Location: Silver Spring, MD - 20910 Contact Phone: (240) 821-1222 Website: http://www.kolmac.com Description: The Silver Spring, Maryland office of the Kolmac Clinic opened in 1973 as an outpatient alcohol treatment program. The program was co-founded by Dr. George Kolodner and Jim McMahon. It was the first intensive outpatient program (IOP) in the country. All other alcohol and drug rehabilitation at the time was being delivered on an inpatient, residential or partial-hospitalization basis. To date the Clinic has treated over 18,000 patients. This office provides ambulatory detoxification, intensive outpatient alcohol and drug treatment, continuing care and family services. Clients at this office have the option of attending our Day or Evening program. The Day IOP program runs weekdays, from 10:00am to 1:00pm and the Evening IOP program runs weekdays, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The continuing care and family schedules vary, so please check with us for the current schedule. |
