In this peaceful setting, residential substance abuse services are available for: Chemically dependent adults and older adolescents; Family members, affected others, or co-dependent individuals. AMHC’s mission at the RTF is to provide an environment conducive to the development of healthy living skills through modeling, guidance, and education. AMHC believes in service to others based on a foundation of respect for the individual, where they have been, where they are today, and where their hopes and potential can lead them in the future. AMHC has been a major source of high quality care and intensive case management in the treatment of substance abuse since the agency was incorporated as a private, non-profit corporation in 1964. Education, rehabilitation, recovery, and relapse prevention are the watchwords of AMHC’s substance abuse services. AMHC seeks to enhance community awareness of the problems, causes, and solutions related to substance abuse through preventive education and consultation services. AMHC intervenes in the process of addiction with assessment, treatment, and support services that lead to rehabilitation and recovery. The comprehensive array of services that AMHC offers includes treatment for people with dual or multiple diagnoses such as mental health, developmental disability, health, and substance diagnoses. AMHC provides referral, advocacy, and services management for individuals in need of medically supervised detoxification. The RTF offers 12 beds for the treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The program offers individuals a safe and supportive setting in which they can receive intensive services that are tailored to specific needs. Continuous round-the-clock supervision is provided by experienced residential treatment staff. AMHC’s outpatient counselors coordinate with residential treatment staff to design and implement goal-oriented treatment strategies that address a client’s specific needs and dependencies. AMHC residential staff also work with outpatient therapists, community service programs, government agencies, and other appropriate ancillary services to develop discharge and follow-up plans that focus on relapse prevention and reintegration into the community to ensure an optimal outcome for the consumer. |
