Services focus on women developing and maintaining a healthy and safe alcohol and drug free lifestyle, with emphasis on compassionate attention to gender-specific issues. While the recovery process is person-centered, the end result is that women become effective nurturing mothers breaking the bondage of destructive behaviors. On this continuum of care are developmentally appropriate treatment services to children. With evidence-based treatment, children can be healed from the scars of their mothers’ disease, if not escape them altogether.
