Hope Center - Ball-quantrell Jones Recovery Center For Women
Location: Lexington, KY - 40504
Contact Phone: (859) 252-2002
Website: http://www.hopectr.org
Description: The success of the men’s recovery program led many in the community to urge the Hope Center to open a similar program for women. In 2002, the Hope Center opened a new residential facility at 1524 Versailles Road to house the Recovery Program for Women. The Recovery Program for Women is based on the same peer-driven, professionally supervised model as the men’s program. It features SOS (supportive, safe environment to gain sobriety) instead of a detoxification center, adds several gender-specific features, and includes a health clinic. Outcome data indicates that 95 percent of women remain abstinent from drugs and alcohol six months after entering the program. One year after completion of the program, 71 percent remain abstinent from drugs and alcohol. Many of those who relapse use the tools and resources they learned and quickly return to the path of recovery before doing further damage to themselves and others. Recovery from addiction and alcoholism is a process, not a destination. For those who participate in the Hope Center Recovery Programs, every day is an opportunity for growth, change and living a positive, productive life.

Hope Center - George Privett Recovery Center For Men
Location: Lexington, KY - 40508
Contact Phone: (859) 225-4673
Website: http://www.hopectr.org/
Description: More than half of the homeless population in the United States suffers from addiction to drugs or alcohol. Unless their addictions are addressed, they are unlikely to be successful in moving away from homelessness. Since 1996, the Hope Center has operated a highly successful Recovery Program for Men at its facility on West Loudon Avenue. In 2008, the George Privett Recovery Center enabled the Hope Center to expand its men’s recovery program to a 110-bed facility down the street from its previous location. Over a thousand men have successfully completed this program. The program provides a long-term recovery approach that is both peer-driven and professionally supervised. It teaches the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Recovery Dynamics curriculum in a community atmosphere that emphasizes both personal responsibility and mutual accountability. The men’s program includes a non-medical, licensed detoxification center that has eight beds and is always open. Hope Center board members and employees have always believed that it is critical to do something – something lasting – for each individual client we serve. Since our doors opened in 1993, we have continued to add and expand programs that address the root causes of each person’s homelessness.
