The 90 to 120 day juvenile offender residential program is for youth ages 12-18, who have been placed in the custody of the state for temporary out of home placement. The purpose of the program is to improve the mental and social adjustment of the youth. The primary goal is to teach the youth appropriate skills to meet their full potential and improve their behavior in order to transition successfully back to their family and community. In addition to the Residential Program services provided, professional counseling services are arranged for youth who are in need of individual mental health counseling, a drug and alcohol evaluation, or more intensive addiction counseling. Systems of cognitive behavioral approaches are applied to facilitate change and prevent recidivism. The residents' progress is evaluated by tracking outcomes and improvements in their behavior, academics, social and life skills. |

Mirror provides substance abuse treatment including residential services in three Kansas locations, outpatient services in thirteen Kansas locations. In addition Mirror offers community correctional residential re-entry programs in Wichita and Topeka, Kansas and prevention services across the state of Kansas. We are also experienced in delivering in-prison and community based treatment programs to substance abusing offenders. We have operated prison based programs, using various models, within five different correctional institutions for the states of Kansas and Colorado. We are a current KDOC contractor and we provide intensive outpatient services to the female inmates at the Topeka Correctional Facility. |
