Description: Four County Mental Health Center is a private, not-for-profit organization, founded in 1964, committed to providing comprehensive mental health services to the citizens of Chautauqua, Cowley, Elk, Montgomery, and Wilson Counties. Four County is funded by State and county public funds, service fees, contracts, and grants. Everyone is eligible for Four County's services. Four County Mental Health Center's Alcohol & Drug Outpatient Treatment Services subscribes to the philosophy that alcohol and drug addiction is a disease which reduces the overall quality of life and endangers physical and mental health. Early intervention is important by treating persons who are abusing alcohol or drugs prior to addiction. However, it is never too late to get help! The Alcohol/Drug Abuse program also believes that alcoholism/addiction is a family disease. The program views treatment of the co-dependency of family members/significant others as an integral part of the treatment program.
