Overlooking the Missouri river, Atchison Valley Hope has helped thousands fight addiction since 1972. We provide a variety of addiction treatment options to patient’s ages 16+ including medically monitored detoxification, residential and partial/day treatment, continuing care and family addiction treatment. A typical day of treatment (rehab) includes psycho-educational and 12 Step discussion groups, individual and small group counseling, spiritual counseling, and opportunities to attend 12 Step meetings. Addiction treatment is highly individualized, as is our length of stay. Patients work with their individual counselor to develop a continuing care plan so that they continue to receive the treatment and support they need, long after leaving the residential treatment center. All counselors at Atchison Valley Hope are state certified or licensed clinicians with a passion for helping every person that walks through our doors. Our staff works hard to ensure that every patient and their family members are treated with dignity and respect. We know that making the decision to come to treatment is not an easy one, but we know that patients who do so often experience a transformation that is nothing short of miraculous. Valley Hope has always recognized the importance of family involvement in the process of recovery. An addiction can destroy families as much as it destroys the individuals who are admitting to addiction treatment. Atchison Valley Hope offers family programming during the week and on the weekends. We also offer online family treatment which is a great resource for those family members who want to be involved, but may not be able to travel. |

The Guidance Center - Atchison County Office Location: Atchison, KS - 66002 Contact Phone: (913) 367-1593 Website: http://www.theguidance-ctr.org/ Description: The Guidance Center promotes healthy communities by providing integrated behavioral healthcare services and partnering in the delivery of general healthcare in Atchison, Jefferson and Leavenworth counties. We envision a healthy community of people who can access and benefit from state of the art integrated health care which results in an enhanced quality of life for all. We provide a full range of quality outpatient programs and services for individuals, children, families and businesses in our communities. The Guidance Center is licensed by the State of Kansas to provide outpatient treatment services, including alcohol and drug evaluation, treatment, education and relapse prevention for adults and adolescents. An initial assessment is administered to all individuals seeking treatment in order to determine the appropriate level of care. Individuals are admitted to Recovery Services or, if more intensive treatment is indicated, are referred to the appropriate treatment facility. Treatment could include individual or group treatment, or therapy with an appropriate clinician. In addition, participation in specialized groups may also be recommended. |
