Description: Heritage Behavioral Health Center, Inc., traces its origin back to March 1, 1956. Then known as the Mental Health Clinic, accepted its first client on April 10 and has been providing continuous service ever since. In 1967, the Alcoholism Advisory Council for the Decatur Area was established to provide substance abuse services. In 1970, the Mental Health Clinic became the Decatur Mental Health Center and established an inter-locked relationship with the Alcoholism Advisory Council. In 1987, the Alcoholism Advisory Council was merged into Decatur Mental Health Center. DMHC continued its steady growth and became the primary provider of community-based behavioral health care in Macon County. In 1998, Decatur Mental Health Center became Heritage Behavioral Health Center, Inc. While our name and our services have changed over the course of our 50 year history, we have stayed true to the principles upon which we were founded, building a legacy of high quality, low-cost services provided without regard to the recipient's ability to pay. Heritage provides comprehensive community-based services to treat the most serious behavioral disorders and links them closely with providers of inpatient care; we provide these services to over 4,000 people annually. We also provide a wide variety of innovative outreach, crisis intervention and prevention services based in our schools and in our communities.
Saint Marys Treatment Center
Location: Decatur, IL - 62521
Contact Phone: (217) 464-2500
Website: https://www.stmarysdecatur.com/
Description: Because recovery from a substance abuse disorder is ongoing, St. Mary’s offers a range of treatment options designed to meet each patient’s changing needs. We are a 12-Step inspired program staffed with professionals with a wealth of knowledge surrounding chemical dependency issues. Abstinence and recovery from drugs and alcohol are the goals of our treatment. Treatment begins with an assessment to determine the level of care appropriate for the individual seeking help. A treatment plan is created after the initial assessment. Medical detoxification, if necessary, is provided in an acute hospital setting. For less intensive therapy, outpatient services are offered which allow participants to maintain daily work or school schedules. We also offer outpatient services for individuals leaving a residential treatment facility. Depending on individual needs, therapy sessions and educational classes are held at least two days a week.
