Ho`omaka Hou provides an alternative to adolescent residential substance abuse treatment off island. HO`OMAKA HOU is a residential substance abuse treatment program for youth whose problems with alcohol, other drugs, or issues related to substance abuse, warrant an intensive, structured therapeutic program, combined with a safe, controlled environment. It is designed to foster chemical independence for youth ages 12-17 by means of a comprehensive treatment program. A professional and paraprofessional staff is trained in substance abuse and adolescent care, and provides youth with 24 hour supervision. |

(AHI) is a private, nonprofit corporation established in 1977 for the purpose of providing outpatient and residential treatment for individuals addicted to alcohol and/or other drugs. Since that time the mission has expanded to include provision of comprehensive, family-centered behavioral health interventions for the prevention and treatment of individual and family dysfunction. Our Residential Treatment program provides a structured living environment for those who need a real “time-out†from their daily lives in order to get better. Clients must come into treatment voluntarily. The program provides screening, assessment, nursing care, counseling, psychological services, case management, recovery education, discharge planning and assistance in developing sober support in the community. The Medically Monitored Detoxification program helps clients recover from substance dependence and acute symptoms of detoxification and then helps them access the most appropriate treatment needed. We provide 24/7 nursing services and medications to facilitate a safe detoxification as well as screening, assessment, counseling, treatment and discharge planning. |
